Tony Lourakis, Co-Founder and CEO of Courier Complete Inc. Named Finalist for Ernst & Young's 2004 Entrepreneur of the Year Award

Richmond Hill, ON – July 5, 2004 – Courier Complete Inc. announced today that the company’s co-founder and CEO, Tony Lourakis, has been named as a finalist for Ernst & Young’s 2004 Canadian Entrepreneur of the Year Award in the Ontario region.
Courier Complete Inc. has become a leading global provider of specialized operations and business management software for the courier, messenger, expediting, and distribution industries after only four years since the launching of its software.
“I was already honoured when first nominated for this award, but to be selected as a finalist is simply incredible,” said Tony Lourakis. “Being in the ‘Young Entrepreneur’ category also means that I don’t have decades of experience, so much of Courier Complete’s success is a result of the exceptional people that work here, especially the senior management team and my advisors.”
Lourakis, selected by Ernst & Young as a finalist in the ‘Young Entrepreneur’ category, is among 32 entrepreneurs whose innovation, vision and determination have made them eligible for Ernst & Young’s prestigious 2004 Canadian Entrepreneur of the Year Award. The awards will be presented during a gala celebration on October 7, 2004 at the Toronto Metro Convention Centre. Ontario award recipients will then go on to compete with the top entrepreneurs from the Pacific, Prairies, Quebec and Atlantic regions for the national honour of Entrepreneur of the Year, to be announced November 4 in Ottawa. The Canadian recipient will then compete globally against other nominees for the title of 2004 World Entrepreneur of the Year.
